About Our Curriculum

Our program uses a research based curriculum “The Creative Curriculum” using developmentally appropriate practices in a self-stimulating, challenging, creative, and nurturing environment that enhances the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child. All activities are planned to encourage each child to explore, experiment, imitate, ask questions, and problem solve in order to construct his/her own knowledge.

"Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) is a critical skill for children, as essential as math and literacy. It plays a significant role in their overall development and learning. SEL helps children understand their thoughts and emotions, fosters self-awareness, and encourages empathy towards others in their community and beyond. Through SEL, children learn to recognize and manage their feelings, express themselves effectively, and relate positively to others.

Starting from our infant classrooms and continuing through Pre-K, SEL is integrated into our curriculum. These skills empower children to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. When children learn to regulate their emotions, they can collaborate on solving social problems, demonstrate empathy, and, most importantly, feel secure with their trusted caregivers.

We employ a study-based approach rather than rotating themes on a weekly or monthly basis. Utilizing the Creative Curriculum, studies are designed to deeply engage children and enhance their overall learning and creativity. Each study focuses on significant everyday items that captivate children's interests, such as Gardening, Recycling, Buildings, Trees, Roads, Clothing, and Balls, among others.

Throughout the day, children are encouraged to immerse themselves in the study. During circle time, a question related to the study is posed and discussed as a class. During choice time, interest areas within the classroom are enriched with elements from the current study, providing opportunities for children to explore and discuss with their peers and teachers.
